My name is Sylvia. I am a happy mama to a beautiful baby girl, certified yoga teacher, clinical nutritionist and holistic health coach. I created PFN to share with you my love for clean eating, plant-based cooking and food photography.
I want to inspire you to think of food differently – not as an enemy, a chore or an on-the-go task. My goal is to show you that eating real, whole foods can be very fun, easy and delicious. In addition, choosing minimally processed, plant-based ingredients is so nourishing for mind, body and spirit.
In our fast-paced culture, we have lost touch with eating consciously and with taking the time to appreciate the food that nature so lovingly provides us with — the very thing that sustains life.
We live in a world where everything we do is on the go, including preparing and eating our meals.
Don’t get me wrong, I too am a busy lady. The truth is, there are times when I forget all about my healthy habits, especially when I am traveling. But for the most part, I enjoy taking the time to pick the freshest, cleanest ingredients possible, to prepare my meals and sit down to enjoy the beauty and nourishment of my food.
Through my journey to better health, I discovered that feeding my body pure, unprocessed food is one of the most important elements of wellness. The quality of what you eat matters. The food you put on your plate and in your body gives you the energy and zest for life.
The question is what quality of life do you want to have?
You have heard the saying: You are what you eat. Over the years, this has become my mantra. I know that through eating better, cleaner and fresher foods, as close to their natural state as possible, I can create a healthier, more vibrant body which in turn gives me better quality of life.
A good diet changes EVERYTHING, from your physical and mental performance to your love life and personal relationships.
I created Pure Foods Nutrition not only to inspire you to eat healthier and get in the kitchen, but to also look at cooking differently: not as an annoying chore, but as a way to provide your body with nourishment and love.
I don’t want to overwhelm you because I know what that feels like, trust me. My goal is to create well-balanced, healthy recipes requiring minimal time and effort.
